A fable in daily life
Something special happened today. It taught me something.
When my mother and I finished shopping, we came back home. We saw my brother Harvey. We chatted for a while. Later, my mother noticed that Harvey’s glasses were not worn properly. She told him so in a friendly way but he did not agree. And then, I took a look at him and told him the same thing, but he still did nothing. Then my mother led him to the mirror so that he could have a look at himself. For some reason, he was not convinced. He was stubborn.
I started to get impatient but I kept speaking nicely. I told him that mum was telling the truth. When he heard that, he just yelled at me to “Shut up!”.
I was not patient any more. I was really angry with him. He should not be rude to his other family members.
It is alright if you choose not to listen to others’ suggestion but disrespecting others is wrong.
